Something unusual happened on the way to the festival
Each year comes and goes and we get different rolls of the dice, but never did it cross our minds that a festival designed to help an indie cinema would end up owning it.
That's exactly what's happened here in Romford, as of February the 15th we became the leaseholders for the site and on 28th March Lumiere was born, a new type of indie cinema, 4 screens of the latest releases, one screen dedicated to independent cinema, one to world cinema and one to only show classic cinema (anything from 2024 backwards) the change means a lot about the cinema you may have been sed to has changed, but by and large its still a great independent cinema.
You can find out more about Lumiere here.
